A Life Observed, A Journey Shared
Still living, still learning, still observing – sharing along the way
This website has a simple purpose: to share what I have experienced, learned, and observed during nearly fifty years of living, studying, working, and doing business in the United States – and what I continue to learn and observe along the way.

I’m just an average Joe who has lived a long, varied life. I am not writing because I believe I know more than others, but because my journey through formal education, real estate development, raising a family, and navigating cultural changes has given me much to think about.
What I Hope to Share
My notes will cover subjects that interest me and shape our world, including:

- Everyday Life and Culture in America and Korea: Personal observations about daily life, cultural change, cross-cultural experiences, and building a life in the United States and South Korea.
- Business and Commercial Land Development: Lessons and observations from entrepreneurship, business management, government procurement contracting, restaurant operations, and developing commercial land from acquisition through the completion of shopping centers and other commercial projects.
- Global Perspectives and the Rule of Law: Thoughts on geopolitics, geo-economics, commerce, public institutions, the rule of law, and how global developments affect the everyday lives of ordinary people.
- Markets and Economic Trends: Personal observations about stock markets, business conditions, and economic trends in the United States and South Korea.
- The Next Generation: Reflections for young people, immigrants, and others who are studying, working, or building a life in the United States.
I share these notes as an everyday person drawing upon experience while still learning and observing culture, commerce, business, the rule of law, and everyday life—just like my readers.
Sharing does not require agreement. These are simply my personal notes—what worked for me, my mistakes, and my views. If even one note helps you ask a better question, consider a new perspective, or feel a sense of shared understanding, then writing this will have been worthwhile.
